Counting in style
Since I decided to knit and crochet in style, I’ve added another feminine touch to my process: bracelet row counters.
I discovered them in Etsy, and I had to have some. I bought two from angeldncr82.
They have 18 beads (divided into 2 rings), and a little elastic to divide the beads. Basically they work as an Abacus. You pass beads from one side of the elastic to the other as you go; when you get to ten, you return all the beads to their original position, and move one bead from the second ring. With this counters you can count up to 99 rows.
They are pretty, and I like that you wear it on your wrist, so it’s always handy. My only problem is that once you get to ten rows you have to move them all back to the other side, which can be annoying since you can only do it one by one.
I guess there are other more convenient and practical row counters, but sometimes, I just need to feel pretty!
Ooh! Pretty!
